Its time to strengthen your companys coreprinciples, that is.
Thank you for completing the assessment.
Your score suggests that your organization may need to reassess and strengthen its core principles. Let me share a story from my early days in the business world that might resonate with you.
When I first got our InsurTech business off the ground, we had a critical meeting with a major insurance carrier. They were interested in our services but wanted to see our office. At that time, our office was just a modest three-room setup that looked more like a massage studio than a corporate headquarters. Despite the limited resources, I welcomed the opportunity and invited them over.
The meeting day arrived, and I hosted the insurance executive in our small office. The space was so cramped that the 32-inch flat screen I used for presentations nearly rested on my shoulder. Throughout the presentation, I answered all their questions and addressed any concerns they had. My focus was on being authentic and transparent about our capabilities and limitations.
Despite the simplicity of our setup, we landed the account because our authenticity won the day. The insurance executive appreciated our honesty and straightforward approach, which laid the foundation for a strong business relationship.
This experience taught me a valuable lesson: authenticity and transparency are crucial for building trust and credibility.
Your current score indicates that while your core principles may be present, theres room for improvement in how they are communicated and practiced within your organization.
Consider taking the following steps to fully integrate these principles into your work culture and project them to your customers and partners:
- Clarify and Communicate: Ensure your team understands and can articulate your core values. Clear communication is key to embedding these principles into your organizational culture.
- Integrate with Your Brand: Make your core principles a visible part of your brand identity. This can help differentiate your business in the market.
- Encourage Engagement: Provide opportunities for your employees to actively engage with your core values. This could involve dedicated time for team-building activities or initiatives that reinforce these principles.
- Promote Transparency: Foster a culture of openness where employees feel comfortable discussing mistakes and challenges. This can build trust and drive continuous improvement.
- Balance Work and Personal Life: Ensure your policies support a healthy work-life balance. This can lead to higher employee satisfaction and loyalty, benefiting your business in the long run.
By focusing on these areas, you can strengthen your core principles and create a more resilient and successful organization.
